I have been making visual art for over 35 years. I am a native Vermonter and have worked as a graphic designer and a design & illustration instructor, simultaneously maintaining an art making practice.
I love working with mixed media. The freedom of working with collage, acrylic paint, pencils, and markers allows me to work in a multi-layered way. My work combines both abstract and realistic elements. I like the juxtaposition of photographic and painted imagery as well as the interplay between light and dark. Environments—both inner and outer—provide spaces for the viewer to enter and explore.
